we did an epic road trip over the Thanksgiving break,

Road Trip - summer 2012

just back from a really fun road trip:

leaf mobile

I designed and made a leaf mobile for Mother's Day.

My Mother's favorite leaf is the beautiful ginko so I had to include a few of those!

yup its bright green and perfect for this lovely sunny weather

1/2 english cucumber

1 apple

4 sticks celery

chunk of ginger

juice of half a lemon

Yeti watching...

I saw a Yeti, he was really shy...

Then he slowly edged out from the trees....

and gave me a BIG fluffy hug.

my poor doggie sunk up to his shoulders.

Vacation Snaps

We have been away on our summer vacation, we went to California

That splash is me jumping in a lake and YES it was really really cold

I hope you have been having a fun summer

Sand Dunes, butterflies and flowers

We took a long weekend away last month and ran around in huge lovely sand dunes.
The trees are often swallowed by the dunes, so I made them all springy and full of blooms again.
I LOVE this time of year.

Gift Tags and Cards

it seems a lot of people have birthdays in the spring, so I decided to print, design and stock up on gift tags and cards.

You know how much I love to take photos of signs, and I love to use type in my work so when I am looking for inspiration I always find it helpful to browse through my photographs.
This was taken over December and January on a super fun inspiring trip to San Francisco.

Icicles

remember I said I was going to take some pictures of the many many icicles around the house. Here are just a few of them....

Peanut Butter Cookies.....

My husband likes a few sweet treats now and again, and I like the sweet smell of baking wafting through the house (and making a mess in the kitchen). So I made him these peanut butter cookies, he said they were very nice indeed!
Who has been nibbling at this one!?!?
They are from one of our fave cookbooks: Vegan with a Vengeance, I found the recipe online here. I made mine regular size - so they would go a bit further.
