California - signs II

another photo of a cool old retro sign from our recent trip to California.
I really love all the fonts in this one and that fun little pattern against the clear blue sky.

California - signs

You know how much I love to take photos of signs, and I love to use type in my work so when I am looking for inspiration I always find it helpful to browse through my photographs.
This was taken over December and January on a super fun inspiring trip to San Francisco.

Boardwalk signs

boardwalk signs from the Jersey Shore

Las Vegas signs

I took these when we drove through Las Vegas in 2006

I think some of these casinos have been knocked down now,
which didn't make me feel so sad
when I found out about this place which I am dying to visit

Sketchbook Text

I love to hand draw type and always enjoy seeing different signs when I go traveling.
