Illustration Friday - Pattern

I LOVE using and making pattern in my work, this is also a Mother's Day card I did for Madison Park. I was totally inspired by Indian miniature paintings and of course the totally delightful Ganesh.
Wishing you all a super doopa weekend.

plums and PINK mushrooms

My parents have been visiting us for the past two weeks (hence the small amount of posting here). We did lots of cooking and ate lots of delicious veggies from the farmers market.
I came across these PINK oyster mushrooms, while I am a big Shitake fan I was totally taken in by the pretty pink on these and just had to try them - super delicious indeed.
My mother is the chief cobbler/crumble maker and made a plum one, we roasted the plums.
Now they have left and all is quite quiet in the house, they have gone on a super exciting trip out west seeing lots of the great national parks, Arches, Yosemite, Bryce, Zion......

Illustration Friday - Welcome

Mary always made everyone feel so very welcome especially all of the sweet little animals that would visit, they all loved her and trusted her completely.
Have a beautiful weekend everyone.

Sombrero

Another page from the gridded sketchbook.
Some of these designs have been published on cards and some bits for magazine articles, these are teeny sketches drawn with my teeny 0.3 pencil lead.
From me and that happy cupcake, have a great Thursday.

Sticky Glue

it's true, glue is usually sticky, but I remember at school they used to give us kid safe glue which was really useless and really not very sticky at all, the best thing about it was that it smelled like marzipan!
